Management and Assessment Philosophy
Classroom Management is key to setting up a positive classroom climate and culture. I believe it is important to set expectations for and with the students early in the classroom so they know what to expect as well as what they expect from each other.
In my classroom this looks like,
I believe communication is another important part of the classroom because when students feel safe and an integral part of the classroom, they are more inclined to talk and contribute to the class discussions. It is also important for teachers to use communication to establish correct studio habits so that students are able to be safe and use materials to their full potential.

I believe it is important that all types of learners have accessibility through differentiation to the information being taught in the classroom. As a teacher it is my responsibility to make sure that my students are receiving information from my classroom that best fits their learning styles.

- me, the teacher, establishing that treating each other with respect is a rule in the classroom.

- posting respect and the examples from the students of what respect looks like in the classroom so that all students know what to expect of each other.

- verbal, visual, and hands on instruction.
- multiple visuals/handouts on Power Points, materials, and rubrics.
- making sure to meet the specific needs of any IEP/ALP/RTI students in the classroom.
- differentiating in the lesson ways for different types of learners to reach the same big idea or objective.
